My mom had her first round of chemo in April, the second in May, third in June, fourth in early July, and fifth in late July. We have six total to do and the next one will be the last week of August.
So far, she is tolerating it extremely well. The first round may have made her quite tired and foggy, but she got the hang of it for the second round and seems really great!
We all zoom before each round to send good vibes and have the "fluffing" ceremony, which we are sure helps a lot. Let us know if you want in and we can send you the zoom link before the next one.
The results from the first round showed a small reduction in some of the smaller tumors in the center of her brain areas and no change in the main tumor. The second round shown little to no changes, which is also fabulous. Remember, this is an extremely fast moving tumor, so for it not to grown is really great. The third, fourth, and fifth also showed no significant changes.
We call the chemo her "get well" pills because chemo has such a stigma. Please refer to them as such when you speak to her. You can call them whatever you want when you talk to us.
